A task set before the Ministry of Taxes and the Central Bank of Azerbaijan to prepare the proposals to encourage cashless payments and develop the payment system has been transformed into a special state program.
CBA first deputy chairman Alim Guliyev informs that the latest draft of the program was prepared by the Central Bank and its discussion with the banks is under way.
"We plan to submit a ready draft program to the government to be designed for the period of 2012-16. It will contain a provision on an increase of the efficiency of use of created payment systems, institutional base strengthening and education programs to improve the process of access to public e-services," Guliyev said.
