The Multimedia Centre has presented to the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology of Azerbaijan and the Cabinet Ministers the proposals for organization of more efficient electronic services.

According to the Centre, the proposals developed with taking into account international practices and the current situation in this area are aimed at assisting in the implementation of the President’s decree from 23 May 2011 providing organization of e-services.

Under the Centre’s proposals, it is necessary to develop guidelines for determining the services to be switched to electronic format, carry out inventory of all state and municipal services, establish a structure to be responsible for e-services, define the budget item directly related to the costs on organization of e-services.

The proposal also says of drafting of the State Program on digitization of municipal services and services of the Baku Executive Power.

The proposals sent to Prime Minister Artur Rasizadeh and Communication & IT Minister Ali Abbasov stress the importance of establishment of a body under the Azerbaijani President to coordinate work on the creation of e-government, concept paper on e-government, the concept of a single portal, and adoption of a law on organization of e-services.
