The implementation of the program of actions to form e-government in Azerbaijan for 2010-2011 will promote expansion of the list of e-services, provided to the population.
The statement came from Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Technologies Elmir Velizade speaking to journalists on November 22.
According to the deputy minister, currently the country accounts for 8 kinds of e-services.
“The program of actions on formation of ‘E-government’ will promote introduction of other e-services. This is a matter of time, as well as the readiness of the state structure, the due infrastructure and the population to innovations. Creation of the ‘e-government’ is a long process”, Velizade said.
The deputy minister also noted that the introduction of e-digital signature in Azerbaijan will create great opportunities for the development of ‘E-government’”.
