Afghanistan’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MoCIT) has launched the first ever e-governance centre in Kabul which will handle a wide-range of services in this field, including the delivery of electronic identity cards, work license, driving license, certificates and passports, reports Tolonews.
The e-governance system will also help overcome corruption, said Communications and Information Technology Minister Shahzad Aryubi. He said the system will help people to overcome the challenges they face around traffic system, health, education, voting, passport and all these issues are tackled with the help of their identity cards. Afghans have been constantly complaining about the problems they face with government institutions for the delivery of services.
