Websites and portals of various ministries and State administrative agencies have to be constantly upgraded to meet the demands of the public and businesses, agreed participants at a forum on e-government, last week.
The forum, held in Ha Noi, focused on exchanging managerial experiences, developing and upgrading websites and portals of provinces in the key northern economic region, for a more purposeful e-government.
The forum aims to strengthen the use of information technology in general and exchange organisational experiences, said Nguyen Manh Dung Director of the Ha Noi Post and Telecommunications Department.
Websites and portals have to be user-friendly and interactive, provide information on administration and public services, and be useful for businesses and people in general, he said.
Though Ha Noi, HCM City and Da Nang have become the leading information technology (IT) centres, dissemination of information through websites and portals in these cities remained modest, he added.
