The platform will minimize paperwork, help businesses and ordinary people, and increase transparency of the State Architecture and Construction Inspectorate. The Inspectorate had to process over 130,000 applications in 2013.
"ICT tools in public administration improve efficiency of state machinery. They are also a shield to fend off corruption, as they offer transparent procedures and tools to control service delivery. Enhancing anti-corruption policies is an important contribution to stability in the country," says Ambassador Vaidotas Verba, OSCE Project Coordinator in Ukraine.
The platform is the first e-governance initiative, related to construction industry in the country.
Myroslav Kosheliuk, Deputy Minister for Regional Development, Construction and Utilities said: "Use of e-governance tools has a direct impact on a country's competitiveness and economic sustainability. Ukraine has to ensure that the development and introduction of electronic online services is systematic and coherent."
Oleksandr Ryzhenko, Head of the State Agency on e-Governance, said: "Following the example of the European Union's 20 basic e-services, the Ukrainian government plans to bring online at least ten similar services by end of 2015."
The development of the platform is part of assistance provided by the OSCE Project Co-ordinator to Ukraine's State e-Governance Agency aiming at promoting ICT-based efficient and corruption-free public administration.
