The introduction of e-government was among the measures needed to counter corruption practices in Bulgaria, Bulgarian International Business Organisation (BIBA) president Sasha Bezuhanova said.
On July 26 Bezuhanova would take part in a summit, during which representatives of Bulgarian business organisations would propose collective measures against corruption and the introduction of monitoring mechanisms.
Businesses would demand transparency in public procurement procedures and a guarantee of objective offer evaluation, Bulgarian news agency BTA reported.
Bezuhanova said that Bulgaria had the capacity to ensure a 10 to 12 per cent economic growth rate, provided good economic programme was created.
Bulgaria lacked a clear economic strategy that businesses, the government and non-governmental organisations could share, said she.
