In exactly one month time, the construction of a secondary State data centre spanning 10,000 sqm will begin in Kragujevac, Serbia.
The head of the Office for Information Technology and e-Government Mihailo Jovanovic, unveiled the announcement of the new facility worth around $30m.
Jovanovic pointed out that this is a capital infrastructure project of electronic administration, which involves the construction of a large data warehouse, which will be five times higher than that existing in Serbia’s capital, Belgrade.
In addition to this project, he also announced five new projects, which will begin in June and July this year.
“The next project is the action of installing POS terminals at the counters of local self-government units, which together with NALED will be promoted in terms of the competition of local governments in providing cashless payment methods,” said Jovanovic in a translated written statement.
