Information that have been obtained from the e-Government Citizen Survey can assist government agencies in making their Info Communication Technology, ICT Plan respectively. The survey, which was carried out in December last year, generally has found that among the five main selective services that need attention are education, employment and professional training, business licensing, housing and utility as well as health.

The e-Government Survey is an initiative carried out by the Prime Minister's Office through the e-Government National Centre in involving members of the public in implementing the e-Government programme in the country. It covers schools, higher learning institutions, civil servants as well as 'focus groups' comprising representatives from several industries. Even though some of the respondents are satisfied with the government's efforts to carry out e-services, a large number of people are of the opinion that there is a need to upgrade the quality of the service provided. This is to ensure the facilitation of online businesses. Respondents also said that there is a need for a payment gateway using credit cards handled by the government. Aside from that, one-stop shop services through portals are necessary in order for payments to be made online.
