It is hoped that once the free trade agreement comes into force, bilateral trade between the two countries will continue to he diversified and expanded, the Korean ambassador added.
In the field of energy cooperation, he noted that Brunei and Korea have been reliable partners for more than two decades.
With the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding in ICT cooperation last year, Korea is looking forward to more cooperation in the fields of ICT and e-Government initiatives, he said.
It is hoped that the first policy consultative meeting between the two countries will be held sometime this year, as this would set the agenda on future cooperation, he added.
The guest of honour who officiated the cutting of the cake to commemorate the National Foundation Day of Korea was the Minister of Home Affairs, Pehin Orang Kaya Johan PaNawan Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Adanan Bin Begawan Pehin Siraja Khatib Dato Seri Setia Awang Haji Mohd Yusof.
