The Provincial Library Service Division of the Office of the Governor, with the National Library of the Philippines launched the Philippine E-Lib recently at the Provincial Capitol in Bacolod City.
The launching was attended by public librarians from the cities and municipalities of Negros Occidental.
Philippine E-lib is a collaborative project of the National Library of the Philippines, University of the Philippines, Department of Science and Technology, Department of Agriculture and the Commission on Higher Education, funded through the e-Government Fund of the Philippines.
Available resources include Union Catalog of the five partners; digitalized Filipiniana materials including theses and dissertations; special collection/researchers; and online resources/subscriptions to electronic databases.
