Transforming Government since 2001
Jordan’s SSS Process has developed the e-payment system, 'e-Tasdeed,' which seeks to link together banks, government institutions, and national companies through a secure interface, enabling citizens to pay liabilities and settle their regular monthly bills.

Instead of having multiple e-payment systems built and launched individually by Jordanian companies, 'e-Tasdeed' will serve as a single, unified platform that caters to the needs of all companies and institutions while being directly interfaced with core banking and credit card systems, unlike the previous solutions which used to be technically complicated and limitedly useful.

SSS Process's CEO, Dr. Alaa Ensheiwat, said, "We have developed the e-payment system, 'e-Tasdeed,' to build on the success of the 'Sadad' solution launched earlier in KSA. That system contributed to increasing the cash flow in government and public institutions, including the customs departments and the telecommunications, water, and electricity companies, as well as cutting the costs such institutions incur to collect debts."

In addition to reducing departments' operational costs, the new solution will help citizens save their money, time and effort by eliminating the need for them to pay in person water, electricity, landline and other basic services bills, or school and university fees. They will also be able to review their liabilities, settle them directly, or even pay them in installments via several bank accounts.

Dr. Ensheiwat called the officials at financial institutions, e-government project, and the nation's biggest companies to set up a joint council to investigate the new system's features and its ability to service users.

It is worth mentioning that several local banks and government agencies as well as those in some Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries are currently studying the possibility of incorporating into their business operations the 'e-Tasdeed' solution, which will help them to successfully and accurately perform the billing process.
