The Head of Service, Alhaji Dabarako Mohammed, made this known in Ilorin at a news conference to mark the 2009 civil service week.
He said thousands of laptops and desktop computers had been distributed to officers as part of the state government’s effort to boost e-governance.
Mohammed added that another set of 250 civil servants would be trained in August, adding that each of them would be allocated a computer after the training.
He noted that the reform programme was being carried out through exposure to e-government, human capacity development and creation of a conducive environment to enable civil servants to live up to expectation.
According to the Head of Service, N30 million was being released monthly for the settlement of both gratuity and pensions.
He said government was determined to offer more non-monetary rewards to motivate workers to enable them to put in their best.
