Recent reports suggest that Canadian province Saskatchewan has taken a step towards setting up their electronic health records. eHealth Saskatchewan has developed a website, which has been proposed to help people understand more about the records and also to obtain opinions from the public regarding the system via a survey.

eHealth Saskatchewan CEO Susan Antosh said, “We are emerging into a world of huge possibilities in technology allowing people access and information to empower them to be an active partner and decision maker in care options”.

Along with their doctor, even public now would be more aware of treatments and their detailed health reports and can even be able to manage their closed ones health records.

Antosh further added that the survey included will help them provide and learn more about what people need to have in their health records, which make even include an easy access to their test results.

It has been reported that every resident of Saskatchewan will possess their exclusive electronic health record (EHR), that will be kept secret and only their health provider and they can have an access to it. Moreover, the records will contain their complete medical history, which will even be a benefit for the doctors, as they can refer to it at any time.
