Information Technology Authority (ITA ) received the best e-government mobile services on the Arab level in social affairs category for the donation portal for charitable organisation applications. The Public Authority for Consumer Protection received the best e-government mobile service on the Arab level in economy and trade category for the smart phone guide application.
The donations for charitable organisation application is one of the leading projects promoted by ITA and supported by the Ministry of Social Development. The portal is the first of its kind e-portal that uses bank cards through the e-payment portal to donate for charitable originations ( 13 as of now). The number of e-transactions processed by this portal since its launch in 2008 till the end of 2014 stood at 43,942 worth 1.55 million rials.
The consumer guide provides excellent services for consumers by following the prices and quality of certain products. Consumers can also submit their proposals and complains through this guide.
