The Sultanate's delegation to the conference is led by Dr. Salim bin Sultan al-Ruzaiqi, CEO of the ITA. The delegation includes a number of representatives of the public organizations.
At the discussion panel, Nasser bin Said al-Mibaihsi, Director of IT at the Public Authority for Consumer Protection presented a working paper on the e-services provided by the Authority and the smart phones applications used to deliver the services to customers.
Khalid Salibani, Director General of the e-Government Services Sector at the ITA presented a working paper on the conversion to e-government in the Sultanate.
The Sultanate also takes part at the exhibition associating the conference. The four projects on display received GCC e-government awards, which was distributed yesterday. These projects are the election system for members of Majlis A'Shura and the Municipal Councils, the Communication Centre at Muscat Municipality, the e-government portal (Omanona) and the smart phones and tablets applications of the Public Authority for Consumer Protection.
