The Ministry of National Economy yesterday presented applications and programmes to be employed for data entry of the 8th Five-Year Development Plan Project (2011-2015). The first-day of the programme included the presentation of the e-systems and computer applications to be used by ministries and government departments for data entry of the 8th five-year development plan 2011-2015.
Mehdi bin Mohammed al Abdwani, Director General of Development Planning at the Ministry, said that the demonstration aims to shed light on the steps taken by the National Economy Ministry to device the investment electronic system of the 8th five-year developmental plan which includes the E-Format for new projects.
The ministry's e-system comes as part of efforts to activate the e-government's role, assist ministries and government departments to incorporate their new projects in the e-format rather than manual entering of data, he added.
