In line with the e-governance project that aims to digitalise knowledge and information for easy access and use, Oman Mobile teamed with the Ministry of Civil Services to launch a SMS job announcement service for vacancies in the public sector.
On this occasion, Ali Mustafa Al Lawati, strategic marketing manager, stated: “Oman Mobile supports cooperative relationships with establishments in the public and private sector. Our cooperation with the Ministry of Civil Services gave rise to the job SMS service. This service provides subscribers with SMS messages that contain information about job vacancy announcements in the public sector, including details about exam date and location, interview date and location, and final nomination status.”
This SMS job service is available through 90226 for all, both Hayyak post-paid subscribers and Mada pre-paid subscribers. Availing of this service simply involves sending an SMS with the letter ‘R’ for registration to 90226 and costs only RO1.
The registration subscription lasts for six months and can be renewed.
“This service facilitates the job search and the effort of inquiring in person at different places. Another great benefit is that subscribers can even apply for a job directly by SMS without having to do so in person,” added Ali Al Lawati.
Once again, Oman Mobile is connected to the development and progress of the Sultanate in various areas and to fulfilling the needs of its subscribers, particularly with this SMS job service that is related to one’s future and aspirations.
