The project named Community IT Training pilot project (CITT) is part of nationwide initiative to provide ICT training opportunities for Omanis to help them fully participate in 'eOman'.
The eOman is a highly advanced integrated IT project designed to create a digital society wherein the government and the citizens interact with each other on a digital platform.
This technological marvel also known as e-governance will offer every citizen, business and government entity a wide variety of convenient, cost-effective and customer-oriented electronic services that will empower and transform life for the better.
An OMR3.5 million web portal 'Ubar' is already being developed to make it the citizens' main entry point for accessing the e-government services online.
The other main component of eOman is training its citizens and residents to develop ICT skills and increase ICT awareness within the government and the community.
