In keeping with our desire to share our expertise with all countries in the region, we were delighted to welcome the Sudanese officials. Dubai eGovernment has had a head-start in e-governance and today over 1,400 services are available via electronic channels, said Al Bastaki. We believe that by sharing our expertise we will be able to help countries like Sudan accelerate the transition to e-governance.
Al Bastaki briefed the officials on the various stages Dubai eGovernment passed through and also explained in details various synergistic services, integration services, tools for acceleration of adoption of eServices and Consultancy services.
The Sudanese officials were briefed on services such as ePay, AskDubai, eJob, mDubai, eLibrary as well as Website solutions that offer full-fledged CMS and hosting service to all government departments. Al Bastaki also explained Integration Services that enable exchange of data and information electronically among government departments. Bastaki presented to the visiting officials, the various initiatives launched by Dubai eGovernment to make people more competent in the use of eServices, through programs like e4all.
The Sudanese officials hailed the high standards attained by Dubai eGovernment and showed keen interest in the portal www.dubai.ae - and the state-of-the-art systems adopted by Dubai eGovernment to emerge as the regions premier e-government initiative. They expressed confidence that the learning experience will enable them to enrich the e-government project in Sudan.
