AI-powered system integrates data on infrastructure, mobility and urban planning to drive smarter, more sustainable city management
Dubai Municipality has unveiled Dubai Live, a new digital platform that manages city operations, municipal activities and urban systems across the emirate in real time.
The platform was launched during the Municipality’s participation at GITEX Global 2025 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The system marks a major leap in Dubai’s digital transformation drive, integrating advanced technologies such as artificial intelligence, digital twins and predictive analytics. Dubai Live centralises key data on infrastructure and construction activities — from licensing to completion — as well as urban planning updates through the Municipality’s Urban Planning Observatory.
The Observatory provides insights into buildings, facilities, infrastructure, and population and economic densities, enabling the government to forecast future needs and plan for sustainable urban growth. The platform also connects with land, air and maritime transport systems to deliver a holistic view of citywide operations.
Eng. Mariam Al Muhairi, CEO of the Building Regulation and Permits Agency at Dubai Municipality, said Dubai Live represents “one of our most important digital projects,” designed to centralise data and streamline city management.
“It enables us to display and monitor all city operations from a single hub, track real-time changes, and deliver accurate live analytics,” Al Muhairi said. “More than just a monitoring system, it is a powerful tool for strategic and investment decision-making that supports sustainable urban management.”
She added that the initiative reflects Dubai Municipality’s commitment to “building a proactive service ecosystem that strengthens operational efficiency, supports sustainable governance, and enhances quality of life,” reinforcing Dubai’s leadership in smart city innovation.
By integrating live data across multiple urban systems, Dubai Live will support faster emergency responses, improve resource management, and optimise planning decisions. The initiative aligns with Dubai’s broader goals for digital transformation and sustainable urban development — advancing its vision to remain the best city in the world to live, work and invest in.
