The Executive Committee of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, on Sunday, approved the establishment of a Disaster Recovery Centre, which will ensure proper functioning of IT systems and business continuity across the Emirate of Abu Dhabi in case of any incident that could affect work in the main government data base centre.
The meeting reviewed details of the project and its vital importance in mitigating impact of disasters on the infrastructure of Abu Dhabi government network in case of disruption of services or break down in the main centre.
he project will boost confidence of community, especially investors and businesses, in the efficiency of government services, resilience and response to different emergencies and its measures to reduce risks the government economic services could face.
It also aims to improve e-government preparedness index internationally.
