Transforming Government since 2001
Emirates eGovernment has urged all federal government entities in the UAE to ensure that the UAE Federal logo along with a link to the official portal of the UAE Government (government.ae) is published on the homepages of their websites and portals. An official message was sent in that regard to Their Excellencies, Undersecretaries and Directors General of federal ministries, authorities and councils.

The UAE Federal logo and link to the official portal of the UAE Government on the government websites are amongst the criteria taken into account in the periodic evaluations of the federal government entities in the UAE by international organisations such as the United Nations and World Economic Forum. Having the logo and link conveys the message that government.ae is the official portal that incorporates services and information from all the government entities in the UAE. It also impresses the fact upon the users of such websites that all government entities are united under a single identity that shapes the federal eGovernment in the UAE.

H. E. Salem Khamis Al Shair Al Suwaidi, Director General, Emirates eGovernment said, "Linking federal websites to the UAE Government portal reflects solidarity and cooperation amongst the federal government entities and embodies the spirit of the Union. This request reflects our affirmation that all federal entities work for one goal that is achieving the UAE Vision 2021. The UAE Vision 2021 values federal work and seeks to make the UAE one of the best countries in the world."

"It is necessary that visitors to federal government websites find a reference to the official portal so that they can easily find other government entities. I thank the government entities that have published the logo and link to government.ae and hope that the other entities do the same," Al Suwaidi added.

Emirates eGovernment works in line with the strategy of the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, and is responsible for formulating and overseeing the implementation of the eGovernment strategy on the federal level, ensuring robust shared infrastructure for federal government entities, and enhanced government services.
