Transforming Government since 2001
Details of medical fitness tests and online patient medical record systems are among a number of features unveiled by Dubai Health Authority (DHA) at GITEX on Sunday.

The website, www.dha.gov.ae, has been redesigned keeping the e-government requirements in focus.

The main website has 12 sub-sites linked to it including Dubai Hospital, Rashid Hospital, Al Wasl Hospital, DHA Medical Education and DHA Health Regulation.

Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, Director General of the DHA said, "We have revamped our online interface for important health services such as the medical fitness tests which is compulsory for all expatriates living and working in Dubai, and this feature will benefit a large percentage of the population in Dubai."

With the implementation of the new medical fitness interface, now a customer simply has to type his/her health card number and occupation and the system will automatically propose packages for him, based on his/her job description.

The website also has a feature that allows a customer to search for any public or private health centre, hospital, physician or pharmacy in Dubai. It also has an enhanced online patient record system so that patients can access medical records online.

Mubaraka Ibrahim, Director of IT said, "Keeping in mind the growing emergence of online patient medical record systems, we have enhanced this feature which allows patients using DHA health facilities to book and reschedule their appointments, check their results, access medical reports and medication online and transfer their medical file from one DHA health centre to another."

The authority has also launched a sub-site so that health facilities and professionals can obtain specific information as well as aid health professionals in issuing or renewing their
licenses online.
