This new development is a result of the the Dubai e-government initiative. The site has been redesigned to render better judicial services to clients, lawyers, judges and public prosecutors.
Lawyers and public prosecutors can register any requisition or recommendation at the website. Lawyers and clients can check on verdicts, case details, notices, dates of trials, announcements or releases, and so on.
The department aims through these new advancements and judicial e-services, to satisfy public demand and clients' needs.
It also seeks to upgrade human resources through training and encouraging self-development among UAE nationals, and preparing future generations of public servants qualified for these jobs.
The department seeks a safe and stable society through establishing stronger ties with legal authorities in Dubai, such as Dubai Police, Dubai Courts' Department, Dubai Naturalisation and Residency Department and Dubai Municipality, by furthering the efforts to combat crime, especially cyber-crime.
The website offers special services for inquiries from embassies and consulates. It also registers clients' complaints, services, or job openings.
The web designers have also linked most of the official Dubai government web-links and Internet addresses.
The DPP was among the first justice departments in the GCC and Middle East to introduce electronic conferencing between its sections and the Central Prison to save time and money.
