The new services on eGA’s portal bahrain.bh also provide a list of relevant instructions and directions for pilgrims.
A pilgrim registration enquiry, which helps monitor and evaluate agencies with the purpose of continuously improving services, has also been set up.
The project has been done in co-operation with the Justice, Islamic Affairs and Endowment Ministry with the launch of this year's Haj and Umrah season registration.
"Our previous experience in the e-Service arena is an evidence of the initiative's effectiveness. The initiative will help extend our services easily and readily to both citizens and expatriates at all times," said ministry Religious Affairs director Dr Mohammed Taher Al Qattan.
"There was a remarkable demand for services and it extensively helped reduce the number of customers who physically approach the ministry to complete their paperwork."
Dr Al Qattan urged citizens who intend to perform Haj to register with an agency before September 25 to take advantage of the new services.
"We have also launched the 'Registration and Renewal of Haj Travel Agents Licences' service, which allows citizens to apply for a new Haj travel agents license from the ministry and enables travel agents to renew their expired licence. Additionally, the user will be able to pay the registration and renewal fees through the portal," he said.
