He was speaking as he received at Gudaibiya Palace today senior officials, ministers, MPs, Shura Council Members, municipal councillors, clerics, the Intelligentsia, journalists, media persons and citizens. Shura Council and Parliament Chairmen Ali bin Saleh Al Saleh and Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Dhahrani also attended.
Speeding up government services for citizens and upgrading them is the government's top priority, HRH the Premier asserted pointing out his personal follow-up on ministries' performance to ensure government schemes are implemented as planned. He also underlined the government's concern to carry out more housing projects to ensure citizens get access to this service in the shortest time possible.
Serving the nation and safeguarding citizens' welfare is our utmost concern, HRH the Premier said praying God Almighty to help in executing set up plans. He underscored the need for openness in serving the kingdom's economic tendencies stressing the importance of helping the private sector and businessmen boost their activities. Healthy economic management by the government proved effective to withstand the global financial crisis, he said hailing the role of the private sector in this regard. HRH the Premier commended contribution of the parliament, Shura Council, Municipal Council and national Press to serving the government's economic policies.
