Transforming Government since 2001
The e-Service run by Bahrain”s health authorities for the issuance of birth certificates was chosen as the best electronic service at the First Gulf Conference for e-Government held in Oman last week.

Bahrain’s health ministry competed with more than 40 government entities from six countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council.

Assistant Undersecretary for Training and Planning Dr Fawzi Amin was delighted at the recognition, which, he said is the result of hard work of ministry’s staff.

He urged them to continue to strive for the improvement of ministry’s services and raise Bahrain’s name at international forums. He said the main objective of the conference was to provide channels of communication between GCC countries and share their experiences in e-Government services
