Principal Secretary of Urban Development and Housing Department of the State Government and Chairman cum Managing Director of Ranchi Smart City Corporation, Sunil Kumar has said that the Command Center of Smart City is working on state-of-the-art IT based equipment and there is almost no manual intervention in it, so the officials should pay attention to how to make maximum use of it. The Secretary said this while inspecting the Command Control and Communication Center located in Jupmi Bhawan of Ranchi Smart City ABD area.

He took information about the traffic management of Ranchi city, police surveillance, SOS, ECB, VMSB, PA system and many other important equipment being regulated from the Command Center.

On this occasion, CEO of Ranchi Smart City, Amit Kumar told the Secretary that for the last three years this Command Center has been regulating the traffic management of Ranchi, along with this, Ranchi Police is getting full support from it in crime control and crime detection in the city. He also told that apart from Ranchi, this center has also played an important role in the detection of some major criminal incidents in other cities of the state which are also linked to Ranchi.

The Principal Secretary cum Managing Director said that the area of the city is increasing, so it is necessary that cameras and traffic control related equipment should be installed in those areas which are not covered by cameras or other equipment.

He said that now the online challan should be sent directly to the person breaking the rules through AI, there should be no manual intervention in it. The CEO said that now the challan goes directly to the mobile of the traffic rule violator through AI.

This center should have its own revenue model, so that you can broadcast advertisements on variable message sign boards and audio systems. The CEO said that the work of rate determination for this is in process, but the promotion of many important schemes of the government has been going on for the last three years.

The Secretary said that the state government can establish such a center in some big cities of the state.

During the inspection, Ranchi Smart City Corporation CEO Amit Kumar, General Manager Technical Rakesh Kumar Nandkyoliar, PRO Amit Kumar, Honeywell Automation Ltd. Manager Atul Aggarwal, Smart City Manager Utkarsh Kumar, Smart City's Anjani Dubey and Satish Kumar were present.
