The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor KU Prof Talat Ahmad who stressed upon ensuring active contribution of the University in the development of the Society through the capitalization of opportunities associated with the Information technology.
He hoped that in tune with its aims the Directorate will serve as a Central Resource for capitalizing the enormous opportunities associated with Information Technology.
The V-C hoped that besides implementing and managing e-Governance in the University System IT &SS, KU will continue to provide necessary support to other Organizations in the e-governance plans.
Besides various members of the PRSG from Ministry of Communication and Technology, GOI, the meeting was also attended by Dean Research KU Prof Khursheed A. Andrabi, Registrar KU Prof Zaffar A Reshi, Director IT&SS Prof S M K Quadri, information technologist Maroof Qadri who is also the Chief Coordinator of the project and other officials from the IT&SS department of the varsity.
