Transport Department of Haryana State last week launched a new web portal aimed to be an e-payment gateway and provide other online services to citizens such as road tax, licenses and other registering related to transport.
Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Chief Minister of Haryana State said that the new website with e-services would benefit citizens greatly and will bring in more transparency in the department’s operation.
The new website — www.haryanatransport.gov.in — will also feature SMS capability to facilitate the citizens.
State Principal Secretary of Transport Hardeep Kumar said that citizens will no longer have to visit the registering or licences offices and can not avail the services while sitting at home.
