Soon, residents of Haryana will be able to make their payments online for all their property-related deals as the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) is going to launch its new web portal on September 14.
“The portal will enable the residents of Haryana to make online payments, directly through the bank account and also by way of credit cards. With the launch of this facility, the HUDA will become the lead development authority in the country to have implemented such a programme,” Haryana Chief Secretary Urvashi Gulati said.
This web portal would minimise the risk of carrying cash to the banks and would also reduce the burden of making bank drafts and standing in queue. Allottees will no longer have to worry for the posting of vouchers in their accounts. The payment deposited by the allottees would also be reflected immediately in their property account. A confirmation to this effect would be sent on their e-mail address.
Initially customers of only Axis and HDFC bank could avail of direct debit facility and in the coming months other banks will also be integrated in this scheme.
“People could also avail the facility of submitting the applications online for various schemes floated by HUDA for draw of plots. Implementation of software for making various types of payments and receipts is under progress and would be implemented soon,” Gulati stated.
The Government of India had appreciated the implementation of IT projects of HUDA by awarding National e-Governance project to it in 2009.
