The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik launches e-payment of Commercial Taxes in the state in a glittering function arranged here at Jayadev Bhawan, Bhubaneswar on Thursday . The corporates , Traders, Professionals will now be able to pay their taxes like VAT, CST, OST, Professional Taxes, Entry taxes, and Entertainment Taxes online through the website of State Bank of India i.e. onlinesbi.com.

Now the tax payers need not to to a Bank and make a long queue to pay the taxes. No Cheques or Drafts are required nor any Bank Challan to fill up for the purpose. This facility is available round the clock, no service charge and tax payers can get instant e-challan. The tax payers can also print the e-challan on a subsequent day. The requirement for payment of Commercial Tax Department and must have an account with any branch of State Bank of India with Internet facility. For the first time in Orissa Bank of India has brought this facility for the benefit of the Corporates, Traders, and Professionals. All the Tax paying public should make use of this facility.Among others Finance Minister Prafulla Chandra Ghadei, Chief Secretary Tarunkanti Mishra, Principal Secretary of Finance Department Jugal Kishore Mohapatra, Commissioner of Commercial Taxes Nikunja Behari Dhal, Chief General manager of State Bank of India C.H.Narasimha Rao, and B.R.Kharirnar, Principal Accountant General were present on the occasion.

The State Bank of India delighted to be a partner in the e-governance initiative of the Government of Orissa. The facility on online payment of Motor Vehicle Tax, Driving License Fees etc. will be extended by the State Bank of India shortly.
