Observing that India can lead the world if educational reforms are effected, Vice President Hamid Ansari on Saturday asked the youth to come forward and take the concept of e-governance to the people.
Interacting with the students of Symbiosis university here, Ansari asked them to "understand and take the concept of e-governance to the people".
The reach of IT and Internet should be widened to cover rural India, he said.
Ansari, who arrived here yesterday on a two day visit to the city, expressed concern over farmers' suicides and noted that the government was making efforts to solve problems related to agriculture.
In reply to a question, the Vice President said it is necessary for news channels to exercise restraint and discharge their duties in a responsible and a balanced manner.
