A nation-wide survey by DataQuest magazine found Madhya Pradesh among leading states like Kerala, Delhi, Gujarat and Goa in the use of e-governance, said an official. The survey was conducted in 18 states and seven union territories.
The state occupies top position in rendering pubic utility services through e-governance in areas such as municipal corporation, land (revenue), income tax and law. It also stood first in making proper arrangements to provide e-payment facility to the corporate sector.
The state was found second in vehicle and land registration, and third in works relating to education and transport through e-governance.
