The Kembara Digital Malaysia (KDM) Programme, which is the platform of the Ministry of Communications and Multimedia (KKMM) Malaysia and government departments and agencies to help the people in facing numerous digital era challenges, is to be expanded nationwide, next year.

Its deputy Minister Eddin Syazlee Shith said this was following the implementation of the programme in Ipoh, Perak in July and Kuala Pilah, today.

MYEG Philippines Inc is partnering the Philippines’ Land Bank to launch its first phase of digital e-government services in the Philippines.

In a statement today, MyEG Services Bhd said the commencement of online services by its unit in partnership, will bring “added convenience to the people of the Philippines in transacting with the government”.

Home-grown tech company Dapat Vista announced the official launch of its government e-payments service, MyPay.

They first announced they foray into the market in January 2019 when they launched the beta version of their service, the company started out as a SMS service provider for various government departments and agencies since 2000.

Bandung serves as the best model for Kuching in its transformation into becoming a smart city.

The highland city of Indonesia, about a couple of hours’ drive away from Jakarta, was declared a smart city four years ago, said Assistant Minister in Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs and Kuching North City Commission) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.

MyEG Services Bhd (MyEG) is investing 15 million yuan (RM9.1 million) in HiScene (Shanghai) Information Technology Co Ltd.

The e-government service provider said its investment arm, MyEG Capital Sdn Bhd, had signed an agreement with HiScene for the investment in augmented reality (AR) products and services.
