Transforming Government since 2001
Residents will soon be able to get a copy of a city permit application or pay a parking ticket without making a trip to City Hall.

City leaders will unveil a city Web site at 1 p.m. Tuesday at City Hall, said City Manager Mark Ryckman.

The site will provide the public basic information on city services, contact information and various permit applications. It will also include a link to allow parking tickets to be paid online. "This will enhance access to City Hall for everyone," said Mayor Alan D. Lewis. "Anyone seeking a permit or application can obtain it online. It's a good e-government program, I think it will be a big benefit to the city and the residents. I applaud the city administration for the work they have done to create this site."

The Web site has been a goal of the administration for a number of year, Ryckman said. The creation of the site was included in the city manager's annual list of goals for the coming year.

"The Web site will provide basic information about our form government," Ryckman said. "Hopefully it will make access to our offices a little easier for our residents, and those visiting or doing work in the city."
