The Web site, which is available at www.oem.OK.gov or through the state's official Web site at www.OK.gov, gives agency employees the flexibility to distribute timely information in the event of a disaster. Agency staff can use a Web-based administrative tool to create new Web pages or news releases from any computer with Internet access. The administrative tool was designed to speed the release of valuable information to the public outside of a traditional office location. In addition to the Web site, the public or emergency managers at any level of government can search a database of training events offered through the Department of Emergency Management or the Office of Homeland Security. Emergency managers may also submit emergency management or Community Emergency Response Team events for inclusion in the training calendar.

The Web site is the result of a partnership between the Department of Emergency Management and OK.gov, Oklahoma's official Web site that is managed by eGovernment firm NIC (Nasdaq: EGOV).
