"To assist our professional licensees in the information age, we are proud to announce several enhancements to our online capabilities," said Betty Rose, Executive Director of the Kansas State Board of Technical Professions. "In keeping with our mission of offering the latest in state-of-the-art communication capabilities to licensees, we encourage licensees to visit us online at the state's official Web site."
The State Board of Technical Professions has received several positive comments from technical professionals about the online services. "I liked the board's new online system," said Richard B. Hayter, a professional engineer from Manhattan, Kan. "It was convenient, easy to understand, and worked well the first time I used it."
According to Joseph D. Beck, II, a landscape architect from Fort Myers, Fla., the online renewal service was "clear and concise. I like that I can use the system anytime, anywhere at my convenience. I was able to update all my new information in about 90 seconds."
The online renewal service is especially useful for licensed professionals who don't live in Kansas. "More than half of our licensees live outside of the state," continued Rose. "Our online renewal service provides a fast and easy way for technical professionals to interact with Kansas state government from any part of the world, 24 hours a day and seven days a week."
