Under the Case Management Lines of Business Consolidation initiative, the agencies last week released a request for information asking industry to describe commercial or government software that provides management functions in the areas of case leads, evidence, resource allocation, documents, federal records and workflow as well as intelligence processing. The system should support worldwide use by intelligence agencies, including more than 90,000 FBI personnel and 100 million text documents. The system should allow for interoperability across federal, state and local agencies.
Case management is one of five business lines where OMB is trying to consolidate redundant spending and eliminate duplicative systems. Agency-led task forces submitted business cases to OMB for human resources and financial management earlier this month.
Vendors are to answer 20 questions ranging from security and privacy to describing how their systems work. RFI responses are due to Justice officials by Oct. 12.
