Transforming Government since 2001
The state on Thursday launched a new Web site at www.careers.utah.gov to help people access information about career possibilities.

Utahns can take a test available on the site to see how their interests, education and training may apply to specific careers.

They also can access job outlooks for various careers, a list of Utah's fastest-growing jobs, training and education requirements for a variety of positions and current job listings. Other resources include a list of Utah's public colleges and universities, majors offered at those institutions and the names of other schools that provide training and education.

The site was developed by the Workforce and Education Development Alliance, a partnership made up of the Department of Workforce Services, the Utah Office of Education, the Utah System of Higher Education, the Utah Office of Rehabilitation and Utah Interactive.

Gov. Olene Walker described it as just the latest addition to Utah's e-government services.
