OPM, which manages the Recruitment One-Stop Quicksilver project, yesterday said 31 million users visited the www.usajobs.opm.gov portal since its August redesign. In the previous four months before the relaunch, OPM said just over 3 million visitors used the site. Job seekers have posted more than 308,000 online resumes since August. Project workers for Recruitment One-Stop, one of the 25 e-government initiatives, added improved graphics, search pages and site maps. The portal now lets users include personal images, do an online spell-check of their resumes, personalize their search options, and create and save cover letters. Job seekers also can save up to five resumes in the portal.
Agencies can let the users create resumes online in response to job openings and highlight recruitment initiatives such as the E-scholar program or those for veterans.
OPM director Kay Coles James said many of the enhancements were a direct result of user feedback.
