As such, Texas.gov is the only state portal that executes an annual, statewide marketing campaign to promote the website and drive adoption of online services. The 2011 Texas.gov marketing campaign received three awards:

  • Bronze Quill Awards – The Austin Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators presented two awards to Texas.gov in the Communications Management category for the overall marketing campaign and the Communications Creative category for the online advertising campaign.
  • GovMark Award – The GovMark Council recognized Texas.gov with an honorable mention for Best Digital Program.

"As CIO for the State of Texas, and Executive Director of the Texas Department of Information Resources (DIR), I am extremely proud of the DIR and Texas.gov team and their accomplishments," said Karen Robinson. "The positive feedback we receive from citizens confirms what these eGovernment awards have recognized – Texas.gov makes it easy for Texans to transact and connect with their government."
