Tejari plans to highlight how governments in the region can shorten buying cycles, increase their number of suppliers, and alleviate paper-based administrative headaches by adopting Internet-based procurement practices. The Tejari presentation at the e-Government event is to include a number of case studies in which government departments utilizing the Tejari marketplace have realized significant cost savings.
'One of the major issues in any e-Government initiative is how the public sector can improve its partnerships with private businesses, and Tejari has clearly demonstrated its value in achieving that goal. We believe that delegates at the e-Government roadshow can derive significant value from the lessons that Tejari has learned in the last three years of operating in the online procurement space,' noted Neil Le Quesne, Director – International Business, Tejari.

The e-government roadshows complement Tejari's regional expansion and marketing efforts around the Middle East region. The company launched its Tejari Jordan operations last year and its Lebanon operations in 2003, and is creating partnerships in other key markets around the region.
