The state's new home page, or "portal" can be found at www.Tennessee.gov. Moving to a new location marks a trend among states to switch to common-sense "intuitive" addresses that can be found easily online. It coincides with the redesign of 30 departmental websites in an effort to simplify e-government and provide a new streamlined look and feel.
"A major goal of my administration is to make state government more open and efficient," Governor Bredesen said. "These new changes will make it easier for Tennesseans to access the information and services they need, 24 hours a day and seven days a week."
