Labor has updated the site three other times, adding more benefit programs each time. This update, though, is the first site overhaul.
Project leaders added a link to a Spanish version of the portal, as well as a partner room that provides information to federal, state and local government entities interested in listing their benefits, and a more expansive press room page.
Some of the new programs include the Treasury Departments tax counseling for the elderly, the Department of Housing and Urban Developments adjustable rate mortgages and the Veterans Affairs home-based primary care.
These enhancements to GovBenefits.gov are a direct response to citizen feedback we have received about this site, said Patrick Pizzella, assistant secretary for administration and management and the departments CIO, in a statement.
