Public online services, or e-government, have become so much part of Italian peoples habits that now a quarter of the entire population of our country has indeed used internet sites for public offices, national or regional. This picture has emerged out of the annual international report published by Taylor Nelson Sofres/Abacus (Tns), drawn up by the Technology Minister's Study Centre. The analysis has, among other things, shown that users are mainly men between 25 and 34 years of age and that now 41 pct of the Italian population has surfed the web over the last month, which is a higher figure than that in Spain and France.
