  • CA: Saskatchewan: Regina university to research e-governance

    Cisco Systems has donated $2 million so institution can create a reseach chair to study how governments can use technology to drive collaboration and productivity

    The University of Regina is about to establish a research chair in e-governance financed with $2 million over 10 years from Cisco Systems Inc.

    The chair in the Johnson-Shoyama Graduate School of Public Policy will be used to support research into how governments can use technology to drive collaboration and productivity.

  • EC launches €12m Euro-ID research project

    The EC and Switzerland are to spend €12m to test technologies and attitudes for a community-wide architecture for identity verification as part of an e-government initiative.

    BT, Siemens and Visa will be leading a group of 23 organisations called Guide (Government User Identity for Europe) that will be examining the technology and the social and political barriers to a system.

  • EU und Schweizer Regierung starten E-Government-Forschungsprojekt

    Ein Konsortium aus führenden europäischen Unternehmen und akademischen Institutionen, darunter BT, Siemens Schweiz und VISA, wird im Auftrag der Europäischen Kommission ein Forschungsprojekt über die Entwicklung einer einfachen, kohärenten und vollständig kompatiblen elektronischen Identifikations- und Authentifizierungs-Architektur durchführen. Die Unterzeichnung eines entsprechenden Vertrages mit der Europäischen Kommission wurde heute bekannt gegeben.

  • ID-Forschungsgelder für E-Government

    EU und Schweiz steuern zwölf Millionen Euro bei

    Zusammen mit der Schweiz investiert die Europäische Union 12 Millionen Euro in Technologien für eine EU-weite digitale Identität, die auch für das E-Government-Projekt unumgänglich sein wird. So werden die Britisch Telecom (BT), Siemens und Visa eine Gruppe von 23 Organisationen anführen.
