These visitors hold key positions within the South Korean government and were visiting UAE as part of their recruitment process that involves visiting other countries and studying the prevailing eGovernment programmes..
Mohamed Ismaeel, Director of Operations and Production of the e-Governance Department, Emirate of Abu Dhabi, said: “We are happy to share our knowledge in developing e-government in the UAE. South Korea is an example in e-government that a developing country would like to follow.”
“We hope our association brings out the best in e-government for both countries.”
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries on eGovernment is underway, according to Ismaeel.
This MoU aims to achieve constructive and strong cooperation in four areas: e-government strategy and its applications, joint scientific research and development programmes, exchange of visits and the transfer of expertise, and collaborative activities with the private sector related to e-government.
