Dubai e-Government will be padding up services on its payment gateway by introducing a direct debit facility, the launch of which is scheduled for the end of next year, Gulf News reported. The department is also negotiating with American Express for the payment gateway requirements, which should be ready by the second quarter of next year, an official said.
In another initiative, the organisation is working on feedback from the 21 government departments in Dubai that use its platform.
The feedback is based on factors such as level of usage, and this will form the basis of a full-fledged report on the strengths and improvements of the individual departments in their e-offerings. The report is due for release during the first quarter of 2005.
